William B Pond Primrose Removal to Protect Waterbirds - Nov 30th

Image
William B Pond Nov 30th 10am-2pm Come help us finish removing primrose plants around the fishing deck to keep the waterbirds safe! These waterbirds need to be safe from fishing gear that snags on the plants while casting! Come with kayak or SUP to pull from the water or just some good shoes to pull it up the bank. Wear a wet suit or waders if you have them. Gloves are essential to protect your hands while pulling the plant up by its roots and or transferring to sleds and pulling up the bank. Good shoes are essential for stability working on the bank areas. Others can help by assisting with signing waivers, informing on lookers, and taking photos and videos of the process. Thanks so much for supporting the Waterbird Habitat Project and saving the waterbirds from the threat of fishing gear! River City Waterway Alliance  will be providing free parking passes to all volunteers at the fishing dock.
